Award-winning titles from the Oneplay Original production line are confirming their quality on the international stage, TV Nova announced in a press release.

The first season of the acclaimed series The Markovič Method: Hojer, both seasons of the saga King of Šumava, and the espionage thriller Extractors are heading to international audiences. Broadcasting rights have been purchased by television networks and platforms across Europe and South America.

The Markovič Method: Hojer is heading to viewers in Poland, Latvia, and the Balkans, specifically North Macedonia, Albania, and Serbia. King of Šumava, the story of legendary smuggler Josef Hasil, will be seen by audiences in Poland, Hungary, as well as North Macedonia, Albania, and Serbia. Traveling the furthest is the espionage series Extractors, which will cross continental borders. In addition to Georgia and Uzbekistan, it will also be watched by viewers in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.

“It is being confirmed that The Markovič Method: Hojer and Extractors are brilliantly told stories that are perfectly understandable to a global audience, and that their domestic reception and acclaim from both critics and film festivals were no coincidence,” said Jan Rudovský, Head of Acquisitions for TV Nova and TV Markíza, adding: “We are also very pleased that viewers in five countries will be able to take a historical journey into smuggling across the Iron Curtain through nine episodes of The King of Šumava saga.”

The Markovič Method: Hojer triumphed at the most prestigious domestic audiovisual awards, the Czech Lion, in 2024, winning in the categories of Best Miniseries or Series, Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Series (Petr Lněnička), and Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series (Petr Uhlík). Furthermore, it received the Czech Film Critics' Award in the "Beyond the Cinema" category and achieved significant
success at the Serial Killer festival, where it was named the best series in Central and Eastern Europe by an international jury.

The first season of King of Šumava succeeded at the Finále Plzeň festival (2023), where it took home the main prize. Extractors met with an excellent reception in Zagreb at the prestigious NEM Awards, where they received the award for Best Drama Series in Central and Eastern Europe.

International distribution and format sales to these markets are managed by leading global distributors ZDF Studios (King of Šumava, The Markovič Method) and Keshet International (Extractors).
