Yurii Mihashko, a director of television projects at Starlight Media, was killed on the Sumy sector of the front, Novy revealed on Instagram.

"A few days ago, Yurii was killed in combat in the Sumy sector. This is an extremely painful loss. We express our sincere condolences to Yurii's family and to all his loved ones, friends, and colleagues," the post said.

As his colleagues noted, Yurii worked for about 10 years as a director at Novy and also as a production designer on other projects of the Starlight Media's TV channels.

He joined the Defense Forces of Ukraine in March 2022.
