CEEThe 5G network in Serbia is now operational
Three operators have obtained licenses for the 5G network in Serbia: Telekom Serbia, Yettel and A1, with the total value of the licenses amounting to slightly more than 300 million euros. RATEL announced in mid-November that each operator would pay around 100 million euros for its license.
The General Director of A1 Serbia, Judit Albers, said that this is a historic moment for the company. The operator stated that it has already covered most urban areas in Serbia with 5G signal and that users can now experience speeds up to eight times faster compared to the 4G network. Mobile phone users need devices that support 5G in order to use the new network. RELATED
